Wagmatcookewey Oral History Preservation

Researchers from Wagmatcookewey School have produced digital copies of audiocassettes, VHA recordings, family photographs, etc., to preserve and pass along these histories.

The Grade 10 class at Wagmatcookewey School, its principal, and member of the Wagmatcook Elder Council have transcribed and stored the digital media. The project has been seen as a great way to build relationships with elders and contribute to the understanding of history and culture.
